摘要
在修正弯曲单模光纤几何模型的基础上,采用一个简单的弯曲损耗公式,对单模光纤的弯曲损耗和弯曲半径及波长之间的关系进行了仿真和实验,观察到弯曲损耗随弯曲半径和波长的变化呈现振荡现象,且振荡现象是由光纤中的基模和在包层和涂覆层中传播的whispering gallery模之间的耦合引起的。并对关系曲线的特性进行了分析,得出了弯曲损耗曲线峰-谷值位置的计算式,具有一定的参考价值。理论分析和实验结果基本一致。
Based on the geometric model of modified bent single-mode fiber a simple formula is adopted for analyzing the relation between the bending loss of single-mode fiber and the radius of curvature,and the relation between the bending loss of single-mode fiber and the wavelength.The oscillations phenomenon of bending loss is observed,and the oscillations phenomenon is caused by the coupling between fundamental mode and whispering gallery mode in fiber jacket.Furthermore,characteristics of the bending loss are discussed,and the formula for peak-valley location is obtained and may be of some reference value.And a good agreement between the experimental results and the theoretical analysis is reached.
