Psychology and Humanistic Spirit——a Cultural Analysis on Metaphor

现代心理学始终充满浓郁的科学精神——精致性、确定性和中立性的逻辑思维便是其科学精神的写照,而忽略了心理学的人文精神——隐喻的存在则使心理学冰冷的逻辑诉求充满人性温情。从数字化、符号化、机械化的逻辑语言中对心理学隐喻文化分析,并非是要以隐喻语言取代心理学科学术语,而是期望隐喻与逻辑共存,理性与非理性同在,使之能更好地传达人类心灵之声,实现心理学科学精神与人文精神的融合与统一。

Contemporary psychology is imbucd with scientific spirit as reflecled by the exquisiteness, definiteness and neutrality of its logical thinking, to the neglect of humanistic spirit. However, the presence of metaphor has filled psychology with human warmth. Psychology metaphor is interpreted in the logical language of digits, signs and mechanism, which does not require that the scientific terminology of psychology be replaced by metaphor. It is hoped that metaphor and logics co-exist, and the rational and the irrational co-exist so as to achieve the merging and unity of scientific spirit and humanistic spirit in psychology.
