This article sums up the successful ways of the construction of well-known American Seattle Freeway Park from the perspective of air-oasis construction,natural landscape design and community-based management. It points out that rational and efficient use of the freeway air space is an environmental landscape orientation for big cities; it also argues that sustainable urban development needs integrating community function,resource conservation and timely maintenance together.
