论方志著述的地理因素

On Geographical Factors of Local Records Works

本文以西方近代地理学的视角,对当代地方志编纂中忽视地理因素的现象进行探讨。认为地方志著述中地理因素的规范化、标准化,是确保地方志整体学术质量的一个重要方面。文章提出了五点建议:地方志工作机构要与地理信息发布部门形成良好的互动机制,随时征集、采撷最新的地理信息;地方志工作者必须具备正确的地理意识,要努力成为"地方通",成为世情、国情、省情或市情的"操盘手";对地方志著述的科学审查,必须有天文、地理、地质或地名等方面的行家里手直接参与;要重视全面社会调查,吸收最新的自然地理、地质矿产等方面的调查资料;要重视历史地理,深化人文地理的科学表述。

From the perspective of modern western geography,the present article has put forward some academic criticism on the compilation of contemporary local records for their negligence of geographical factors.The author thinks that the normalization and standardization of geographical factors in local records is very important to ensure the academic quality of the overall local records.Therefore,the author makes the following five suggestions:A good interactive mechanism should be established between the working institutions of local records and the departments responsible for geographical information releasing.Latest geographical information should be collected and gathered in time.The staff on local records should possess correct geographical consciousness and try to become 'local experts' and 'operators' in international,national,provincial or municipal affairs.Scientific evaluation of local records should be based on the participation of experts in the fields of astronomy,geography,geology and toponymy.Importance should be accorded to the overall social investigation in order to absorb the latest materials of investigation in natural geography,geology and mineral resources.Importance should also be given to historical geography in order to improve the scientific description for human geography.
