论英语写作中的人际意义表达——以校长致辞中的人称指示语为例

The Expression of Interpersonal Meanings in English Writing

语言既能传递信息也能表达人际意义。在英语写作实践中要根据体裁的需要适当关注人际意义的表达。通过比较分析清华大学和哈佛大学校长致辞发现,在写作中如果不关注人际意义的表达便难以达到应有的交际效果,而人际意义的一个重要体现就是人称指示语的使用。

Language can not only convey information but also express interpersonal meanings. One should pay enough attention to the expression of interpersonal meaning according to the style needed in practice of English writing. Through com- parison of speeches made by presidents of Tsinghua University and Harvard University, the author finds that people cannot a- chieve ideal communicative effect unless they pay full attention to the expression Of interpersonal meanings of are shown by the use of deixis.
