１９８７～１９１８年湖南炼锑技术的发展有两期。１８９７～１９０７年为第一期，从日本引进生锑冶炼技术，生锑冶炼技术得到了初步应用；１９０８～１９１８年为第二期，华昌公司购得法国赫氏炼锑技术专利，引进国外的制炼纯锑技术，并成功地应这套炼锑技术。

There are two periods about the development of metallurgical technology of antimony in Hunan from 1897 to 1918.The metallurgical technology of crude antimony was introduced from Japan in the first period between 1897 and 1907.Huachang Company bought the Herrenschmidt patent of metallurgical technology of antimony from France and imported the foreign metallmgical technology of antimony regulus in the second period from 1908 to 1918.
