Image Retrieval Method Based on NMI Invariable Feature of Dominant Color

为克服传统颜色直方图无法反映颜色的空间信息这一缺陷,该文提出了一种结合颜色直方图和主颜色NMI不变特征的图像检索方法。求取的主颜色的NMI不变特征即反映了图像的大体轮廓也包含了主颜色的空间信息,实验结果表明,该方法获得了图像的颜色信息和形状信息,弥补了传统颜色直方图的不足,具有良好的检索效果。

Content-based image retrieval is an investigative hotspot of the domain and foreign at present, the traditional color image retrieval based on color histograms can＇t include the spatial distribution information of color, and leads high noise ratio.The image retrieval method based on NMI invariable feature of dominant color combines the feature of color with shape, the dominant color is determined by color histogram, the shape feature can be described by the NMI invariable feature of dominant color.The results of experiment show that this approach includes the color and the spatial distribution information of dominant color, and has better retrieval effectiveness.
