How to correctly evaluate the comprehensive benefit of demonstration project of urban underground space is a realistic issue. In order to pursue the unity and practicality of the evaluation methods for comprehensive benefit of demonstration project of urban underground space, an appropriate evaluation system should be established first, and then the criteria and weights for the indicator should be analyzed. To study popularization of demonstration project of underground space, a comprehensive evaluation of the project, analysis of the indexes of related factors, and the improved analytical hierarchy process to distinguish the differences of weighing coefficients of the indexes were all manipulated. To consider all of the factors, a scientific, reasonable and feasible method for evaluation has been deleveloped. Finally, an evaluation of the demonstration project in Shanghai is taken as an example to verify the practicality of this evaluation system.
