Overseas scholars have made studies on Confucian ecologism from the following four aspects: 1 ) the natural view of the universe as an organic unity, thereby focusing on theories of the universal spontaneous generation and the organic holism; 2) the core of the unity of Heaven and man, in which, the scholars have found, in the Confucian theory of the unity of Heaven and man, the Heaven endues everything with existence and ethic values; 3) the feature of the humanism, which is propitious to achieve the unity between nature and humans; 4) the possibilities of ethic expansion.
