Qian＇s ＂Fortress Besieged＂ is a novel with deep implication,which is worth exploring.He described a group of top intellectuals of non-mainstream society who were living in ＂Edge of Life.Novel interpreted the imagery of ＂Fortress Besieged＂ through Hongjian＇s love,career,marriage and family etc life experience,which represented abnormal society features of that era by cultural exchange and collision.And it focused on analysis of personality and morality weaknesses of these intellectuals,reflecting the truth of sick society which is about to collapse.Looking through the blocked spirit of the hero under the weight of the social life and revealing the existence dilemma and spiritual crisis of the modern human,it expressed the author＇s irony and pathos to the life of the whole old age and showed the philosophy connotation that life is everywhere the siege.
