摘要
英语专业本科生的基础英语教学目前依然存在重词汇和语法,轻文化背景知识的现象。其结果是英语专业的学生精通英语的各项基本技能,却缺乏与英语本族语使用者的交际能力。文章从语言与文化的关系出发,探讨了基础英语教学中文化渗透的必要性及其实施策略,指出在英语语言基础教学的同时渗透文化知识可以培养学生的跨文化意识,提高学生的交际能力。
Nowadays,priority is still given to vocabulary and grammar rather than culture and background knowledge in basic English teaching for English majors.As a result,the English majors master the basic English skills,however,they lack the ability to communicate with the native English speakers.This paper,on the basis of the relationship between language and culture,analyses the necessity and methods of culture infiltration in English teaching.It points out that culture infiltration can enhance the students＇ cross-culture awareness and improve their cross-culture communication ability.
