Manchu folk song is an important ingredient of Manchu music. With its unique charm in subject, genre ,contents ,form and style, Manchu folk song embodies the colorful life of Manchu people. Based on the historical development, genre classification and musical features of Manchu music, the orgin, development and the musical connotation of Manchu folk songs will be fully analyzed which will lay a foundation for the further study of various genres of Manchu music.
