Islands and the Historical Studies on China's Sea Territory

中国海疆史的学术架构从地理范畴而言,涵盖了海岸线、海岛和海域三大要素,而海岛在海疆史研究中具有十分重要的地位,无论是其人文特征,还是其人文形态,不仅突显出海疆史研究的内涵和精髓,而且成为海疆史学术体系中不可或缺的核心环节。围绕海岛构筑中国海疆史的学术体系,不仅是由海疆的自然地理范畴所决定的,同时是由海疆的人文特质所决定的。

Geographically, the studies on China＇s sea territory cover three major aspects, the coastal line, islands and seas. Either in terms of the cultural features or forms, islands play an important and inseparable role and embody the nature and implications of such studies. The studies on China＇s sea territory with the focus on islands are determined by the geographical category and cultural features of China＇s sea territory.
