＂Fen（分）＂ had the meaning of ＂part＂.It can constitute some compound words with some morpheme of position significance,such as shangfen（上分）,zhongfen（中分）,xiafen（下分）,chufen（初分）,qianfen（前分）,houfen（后分） and so on.Meanings of these terms were rich in Buddhist Scriptures with many examples.The study of these terms can be helpful for understanding the appearance of the Chinese vocabulary in middle ancient times,compilation of large-scale dictionaries and so on.
