社会现代化不仅是物的现代化,也是人的现代化,人的现代化是社会现代化的核心。在我国加速实现国家和社会现代化建设的关键时期,人的现代化构成了现代化建设的首要问题。而目前我国人的现代化远远落后于国家和社会现代化的客观要求,人的现代化建设显得极为重要和紧迫。实现中国人的现代化,必须以大力发展市场经济为基础,以实施科教兴国战略为核心,把全面推进社会主义精神文明建设,提高民族的整体素质作为最根本的途径。

The modemization of society is not only the modemization of material but also the modernization of person. The modernization of person is the core of the modernization of society. At the key period of the acceleration to carry out the modernization of constructing our country and society, the person＇s modernization is the most important problem of the modem construction. But now the person＇s modernization is far behind the objective request of the national and social modernization. It seems to be extremely important and urgent. We must make great efforts to develop market economy, implement the strategy of rejuvenating the country through science and education, to push forward the entire process of cultural and ethical progress, exaltation race of the whole character the Chinese nation.
