摘要
奥尼尔的《上帝的儿女都有翅膀》中的杰姆被迫戴上白面具的过程和由此遭受的心理扭曲,是西方白人长期以来对待黑人问题的泛人性论思想的反映,刚果面具则象征了黑人文化的生命力和创造力,表现了黑人民族文化的创造力和黑人改变其民族处境的优势,肯定了文化多元化背景下黑人文化有与其他文化共存的可能性。
From the angles of post-colonism and Psychoanalysis, this article analyzes the characters of the blacks in O'Neill's plays. It reveals the black's national inferiority feeling and the course that they are forced to put on the white mask. It points out the crux of their psychological contradiction lies in the over-suppression of their individual "ego", and in the universal neglect of their national collective unconsciousness. It also points out the necessity to retrieve the national culture of their own and the possibility to develop the black's national cul- ture on the basis of multi-cultures.
