In order to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the birth of Professor Chenenfeng,a late famous pedologist,his scientific achievements in the fields of soil geography,soil fertility,soil improvement,etc are outlined.And his strict and innovative learning spirits and noble virtues of mentor are also discussed.It is thought that Professor Chen＇s life is extraordinary;his academic achievements are of much significance;he brought up for the country many soil scientists of virtue,capability and excellent management talent;and later generations will benefit forever from the valuable wealth he has left.
