The English Romantic Poetry preferred describing nature,which had been profoundly expounded by S.T.Coleridge in his classical critical theory ＂Biographia Literaria＂.In The Rime of the Ancient Mariner,a representative Romantic poem,the writing propose,namely the original theme of Coleridge＇s was to reflect the harmonious relationship between human and nature.The poem demonstrated the disastrous consequences brought about by the conflicts between human and nature,suggesting that only if the human loved the nature and the other beings,could he coexist with the nature harmoniously,and gain a way for self-salvation.
