The basic principle of the combined control and the equivalent combined control is presented in detail in the paper.The equivalent combined control system is designed,its application to the photoelectric theodolite is analyzed.A series of the corresponding experimental results are introduced,thus an effective method for improving the tracking accuracy of a theodolite is provided.
