从《红楼梦》两个译本略谈中西法律文化之异同

Analysis of Similarities and Differences in Legal Cultures between China and the West from Two English Versions of A Dream of Red Mansions

杨宪益、戴乃迭夫妇和戴维.霍克斯分别翻译的《红楼梦》,在众多《红楼梦》译本中可称为两颗璀璨的明珠,文章从译者不同的法律文化背景投射出来的不同的翻译方法入手,通过比较两个译本,认为由中西方法律文化因素的潜在影响导致的是不同的翻译效果。

In varies of English versions of A Dream of Red Mansions,Yang Hsien-yi and Gladys Yang＇s and David Hawkes＇ are the two best ones as bright pearls.By comparing the above two English versions,this paper analyzes these translators＇ different translating methods and translation effects,which reflected the potential impact of different legal cultures in China and the West.
