经济全球化背景下,中国大学生“哑巴英语”的产生原因与应对措施

Causes and solutions to Chinese college students' "Dump English" under the trend of economic globalization

随着中国加入WTO,成功举办奥运会,经济文化发展日益全球化,我国将在更广阔的领域、更深的层次融入国际经济生活,我们在经济、文化、教育等领域内的对外交流与合作日趋频繁。相应地,英语的应用越来越广泛,作用越来越突出,具有较强英语交际能力的高素质人才越来越成为经济和社会发展的迫切需求。由于长期以来,"应试教育"在我国的英语教育发展中的主导地位,从小学、中学,一直到考大学,英语的学习目的都是为了考试。因此,英语的"听、说"等交际能力没有得到相应的重视,发展滞后。"哑巴英语"将会对我国融入全球化的进程产生不利的消极影响。文章详细阐述了"哑巴英语"产生的根源,并且提出了如何避免以及治疗"哑巴英语"的一些建议。

With the access to WTO,the successful Olympic Games in Beijing and the globalization of economy and culture,we join the international system and enhance exchange and cooperation of economy,culture and education with other countries.Accordingly,the role of English is becoming more and more outstanding.For a long time,examination-oriented education is always leading our English education.From primary school,middle school to university,the goal of studying English is to cram the exam.Therefore,the communication skills of English,listening and speaking,don＇t receive the attention they deserve.This paper dwells on the causes of ＂Dump English＂ and brings forward some solutions.
