在Lakoff&Johnson对转喻分类的基础上,以《唐诗三百首》和《英美诗歌选读》为语料,探讨英汉诗歌中转喻的异同点,并进一步揭示存在差异的原因。

Poetry is the cultural treasury of human beings. China is a country of poetry, while British and American poetry is an indispensable part of their culture. Metonymy is an important way of human thought. Based on metonymic classification of Lakoff ＆ Johnson, this thesis adopts Three Hundred Poems of Tang Dynasty and Selected Readings in British and American Poetry as the corpus, and tries to find similarities and differences between English and Chinese classical poetry. Meanwhile, it also reveals the reasons to deal with the problem why these similarities and differences exist.
