Objective:To study the protective effects of geniposide on dysfunction of learning and memory in mice induced by ethanol. Methods:In order to induce learning and memory impairments for mices,ethanol(50%,7mL·kg^-1)was administrated by single injection into the stomach of mice respectively. The protective effects of geniposide(10,20,40mg·kg^-1,ig,10d)on the dysfunction of memory were observed by Morris water maze experiment.Relusts:Geniposide(10,20,40mg·kg^-1)can improve the learning and memory impairment induced by ethanol(50%,7mL·kg^-1)in mice, and significantly decurtate the escaping latency and swimming distance.Conclustion:Geniposide had a preventive effect on dysfunction of learning and memory in mice induced by ethanol.
