A Study on Hong Ge's Aesthetic Thought of Personality

葛洪是我国东晋时期著名的道教学者、思想家。葛洪的代表作《抱朴子》中不仅有重要的宗教理论,同时也包含了许多美学思想。其中所蕴含的人格美学思想极为丰富,对于我们今天理想人格的建构有积极的借鉴意义。文章着重分析葛洪积极入世的人生态度和虚静出世的审美心态,阐释其对儒道人格美学思想的融合和对魏晋人格美学思想的吸收,进而揭示葛洪人格美学思想的独特价值和现代意义。

Ge Hong was a famous Taoist scholar-cum-thinker in Eastern Jin dynasty, and his masterpiece ＂Baopuzi＂ contains not only significant religious theories, but many an aesthetic idea as well; and the teeming aesthetic thought of personality entailed in the masterpiece plays a positive role in the construction of ideal personality nowadays. This paper analyzes GeHong＇s life attitude towards ＂going into secularity positively＂ and his aesthetic attitude towards ＂going out of secularity quiescently＂, then explicate its merging with aesthetic thought of personality f.＇om Taoism and Confucianism, and then reveals the unique value and modern significance of the aesthetic thoughts of personality adduced by GeHong.
