辽代契丹族的饮酒习俗很多,有礼仪饮酒、喜庆饮酒、祭祀饮酒、奖罚饮酒等,契丹族对酒的生产与管理有着独特的方式,契丹族的饮酒用品同草原游牧生活息息相关,考古发掘的辽代墓葬中发现随葬有各类酒器,辽代壁画中多描绘有饮酒的场面,辽代酒文化已经渗透到社会生活的各个方面。
