It′s proved in the paper that a theoretical revolution of geography will take place because of the introduction of fractal theory. Fractal geometry not only brings togeography a new descriptive mathematical language, but an effective modelling approach to the evolution of geo-systems,which can be used as substitutes of controlled system experiments to remedy the defect of geography that it can′t make effectual use of system experiment. A logical system of theoretical geography will be able to be set up and a new paradigm is forming based on fractal idea.
