Interpreting Tiger-man Bronze Pots and Relevant Tiger-man Images

商代虎人铜卣,原称虎食人卣。本文以宏观与微观相结合的研究方法,运用了新的考古材料,对商代虎人卣及相关的虎人图像的文化渊源和涵义,从新的视角进行解析和诠释,对商代晚期区域性的青铜艺术提出了新的看法。

The tiger-man pot of the Shang dynasty used to be called tiger-eating-man pot. The present article employs the approach combining macroscopic and microscopic views and uses new archeological materials to interpret the cultural origin and connotation of tiger-man image pots and relevant tiger-man images in the new perspective,thus presenting new ideas on the local bronze art in the late Shang dynasty.
