摘要
本文提出了用于高速集成电路系统中有耗互连线瞬态响应求解的一个计算模型及其相应的算法.传统的特征法在用于求解无耗传输线或满足LG=RC的有耗传输线时具有简单的递归形式和较高的计算效率,但不能用于一般的有耗传输线.本文在特征法的基础上,通过适当的参数修正,建立了一般有耗传输线瞬态响应的近似特征模型,导出了其对时间变量递归形式的计算公式.该模型只需计算传输线两端的电流和电压,因而计算效率高且节省内存.数值实验结果表明,该算法可以达到相当高的精度.
A new macromodel of lossy transmission lines is presented for the time domain simulation of the interconnection systems in the high speed VLSI.It is based on the method of characteristics(MC) with some modification.By approximating the Telegrapher's equations in the frequency domain,the time domain macromodel is obtained and a set of recursive formulas is derived for computing the voltages and currents at two ends of the lines.The algorithm is useful for both delay and crosstalk estimation and can be used to evaluate transient responses of high speed interconnection circuits.The new macromodel concerns only the quantities at two ends of the lines,so the algorithm based on it consumes less computer time and less memory in comparison with other methods.It is of high accuracy and absolute stability.
