Sodium polystyrene sulfonate is adequate for varieties of hyperkalemia and azotemia due to renal failure. A great deal of internal and external data showed that its action was sustained with characteristics of safety and less side effects, having a better future of application. It is especially adequate for extensive medical oranizations without dialysis equipment in primary level.
