用“Z-scan”方法测钒酸钇的三阶非线性折射率

Z scan Measurement of Nonlinear Refr active Indexes of YVO 4 Crystal

用“Ｚ－ｓｃａｎ”方法对沿［１００］与沿［００１］方向切割的钒酸钇晶体的非线性折射率进行了测量，发现其非线性折射率的大小基本相同。

The pure yttrium orthovanadate crystal has been widely used in polarizing optics such as beam splitters, prism polarizers and optical isolators. The measurement of the nonlinear refractive index is an important method for the study of the nonlinear optical quality and investigation of optical inherent damages in crystal. We have measured the nonlinear refractive indexes of a YVO 4 crystal along the orientations of and by the “Z scan” method, and found that the nonlinear refractive indexes are generally equal but opposite.
