摘要
以半导体光放大器为非线性元件的全光开关中,由于SOA中交叉增益调制和交叉相位调制并存,会导致光开关各输出端口性能有所差异。文章分析了双端口全光开关各输出端口消光比、强度噪声及其引发的光接收机功率代价。结果表明反射端消光比恶化会降低接收机灵敏度,但在反射端由强度噪声导致的功率代价明显小于透射端。
For SOA-based all-optical switching, because cross-phase modulation and cross-gain modulation is co-exist in SOA, the properties of each output port is different. This paper analyzes the dual-port all-optical switching's extinction ratio, intensity noise, receiver's power penalty caused by extinction ratio and intensity noise. Analysis shows that in reflection port, the deterioration of extinction ratio will reduce the receiver's sen- sitivity. But in reflection port, the value of receiver's power penalty caused by intensity noise is significantly lower than transmission port.
