FTTH networks is the trend of the broadband optical access networks,which can deliver more bandwidth to customers.The management of ONT is one of the key points in FTTH networks deployment.The article first introduces the management protocols used by PON ONT and residential gateway respectively,and then discusses the management architecture of ONT in FTTH networks which is a combination equipment of PON ONT and residential gateway.
