摘要
针对徐伟康商榷文章提出的质疑,本文就《消费者价格指数与生产者价格指数:谁带动谁?》所涉及的计量工作进行了一定的改进和新的检验,并得出了与原文基本一致的结论:在所考察时期(2001年1月—2008年6月)内,中国消费价格指数变动领先于生产者价格指数变动。本文认为,消费价格指数与其构成部分之间"天然地"存在协整关系,并是一个反映最终消费需求的重要指标;生产者价格指数则还反映中间环节需求和供给层面因素;两者之间的关系可应用到宏观经济分析中的需求与供给问题上。
In response to questions pinpointing to our earlier paper, CPI vs. PPI： Which Drives Which, we have improved our earlier econometric examinations, using a revised dataset. The finding is basically the same as that in earlier one： for the period under study （January 2001-June 2008 ）, the change in CPI is leading the change in PPI. As a weighted average of its components, the series of CPI and that of its components should be co-integrated in principle. As changes in CPI reflects factors that are more on the consumer demand side, and that in PPI also braces for intermediate demand and supply-side factors, analysis on the relations between the two may be extended to the issue of aggregate demand and aggregate supply.
