摘要
中国的华严宗和天台宗是中国佛教诸宗派中最具哲理性的宗派,对中国佛教思想性格的形成影响至深。凤潭通过对中国华严宗思想特别是对澄观和宗密的华严思想的批判,试图会通华严思想和天台思想。虽然凤潭对澄观和宗密的批判有失偏颇,但他敏锐地指出了中国华严宗的思想基础由"法性本空"向"真心缘起"的转变,并指出了法藏的华严思想与智者大师的天台思想有相通之处。这对我们准确把握中国华严思想与天台思想的理论特质不无帮助。
Chinese Huayan and Tiantai Buddhist School are the most philosophical schools of Chinese Buddhist Schools,which had a great influence on the character of Chinese Buddhism.Through the criticism of Huayan Buddhist School,especially of the thought of Chengguan and Zongmi,Fengtan attempted to harmonize differences in teachings of Huayan and Tiantai Buddhist School.There are some biased comments on Chengguan and Zongmi,Fengtan observantly pointed out the transformation from "Emptiness of Dharma-nature" to "Dependent Origination of True Mind" of the ideological foundation of Chinese Huayan Buddhist School.Fengtan also marked that there are some connections between Fazang' Huayan thought and Zhiyi's Tiantai thought.All of these will be helpful to correctly understand the theoretical characteristics of Chinese Huayan Buddhist School and Tiantai Buddhist School.
