The Dancing of Modernism Soul——The Cultural Origins of Duncan's "New Dance"

本文以原始文本分析为主要研究方法,通过阐释邓肯所处的时代文化背景,说明邓肯舞蹈艺术的文化源泉主要来自三股势力:即西方现代主义的反叛精神、美国传统文化精神以及超验主义的自然观念。正是这三股主要势力铸就了舞蹈领域的现代主义文化基石,奠定了邓肯的现代主义引领者的地位,进而推动了舞蹈艺术与诗歌,音乐,绘画等其他艺术形式一同踏上现代主义领地。

Through the interpretation of the cultural background and with the research method of analyzing the primary sources,the paper argues that there are three impetuses shaping the cultural origins of the modern dance art of Isadora Duncan. The three impetuses are the Western modernism,American cultural tradition and the ideas of nature of Transcendentalism. The three impetuses give formation to the cultural foundation stone in the field of dance art,and establish Isadora Duncan as the leading role of Modernism,with the result of promotion of dance art into the field of Modernism with poetry,music and painting.
