目前,香港是提供最完善离岸人民币业务的地方,也是人民币境外存量最多的城市。此外,香港有内地强大的经济发展作为后盾,并且拥有完善的金融基础设施。随着中国经济实力的增强,人民币国际化已被提上国家的议事日程。在这个背景下,香港可凭借其特殊地位和优势,加速发展成为人民币离岸中心。当务之急是在香港发展多元化的人民币业务,以提升境外人民币的流通性,并方便市民、企业和机构使用人民币作贸易结算、投资、消费和储蓄之用,发挥人民币的计价、交易和价值储存功能。

HK is the city that provides perfect offshore RMB business currently and also the home of the largest IRMB stock overseas. In addition, HK boasts of perfect infrastructure thanks of strong mainland economy. IRMB internationalization has been on the top agenda due to the strengthening of Chinese economy. Under this background, HK can speed up the task of building an offshore RMB center. The priority task is developing a diversified RMB business to enhance liquidity of overseas RMB, to help the citizens, enterprises and institutions use RMB in trade transaction, investment, consumption and savings more conveniently so as to make RMB in to full play in terms of valuation, transaction and storage of value.
