摘要
本文把公德与私德间关系的一般讨论具体化为对我国金昌等地"把孝敬父母、关爱家人等私德作为选拔和评价干部的硬性条件"这一实际做法的争议,通过对正反双方各种观点的系统梳理、辩驳和评价,提出以下观点:(1)官员的家庭美德、私交情谊属于其私德范畴,不宜抹杀公德与私德的分殊,不宜用私德统一官德;(2)孝行之于官德,既非必要条件也非充分条件;(3)用传统儒家伦理重建当代中国官德的合理性值得商榷。
Based on and embedded in general debate about the relation between public and private moralities, cases of Jinchang and so on are analyzed, where filial piety and care for family were taken as the necessary conditions to the local officials' rise. Systematical review of the bases of pro and con results in three points of view : ( 1 ) Official virtues for family, neighbors and friends belonged to private morality, which could not be confused with public morality and supersede official professional ethics; (2) Filial pi- ety is neither necessary nor sufficient for official morality ; (3) the reasonability of constructing contemporary official morality out of traditional Confucianism is under contest.
