On Tang Yian's Mental Theory

唐一庵心学以融气入心的理本论为基础,接洽阳明心学,发展出以心学方法把握客观之理的新型理学形态。"讨真心"则是实现其理学的工夫论,是实现其成圣的功夫手段,其学术立场是传统程朱理学而非阳明心学的。唐一庵针对阳明后学曲解"致良知"引发的不研实在之理,提出以"讨真心"为研究实用之理的不二法门。这有助于良知学在新的环境下的传播,一定程度上促进良知学的实用主义色彩。

Tang Yian＇s mental theory, which was based on the theory of merging air with heart and contacting yangming mental theory, resulted in a new scientific mental theory which handled the objective truth by the way of mental theory. ＂Seeking for true heart＂ is gongfu achieving the theory of disposition, a means to become a sage, whose academic standpoint was traditional chengzhuli theory rather than yangming mental theory. In view of the incorrect truth caused by yangming post mental theory＇s misinterpreting ＂To Intuitive Knowledge＂, he put forward his practical buerfamen theory based on the study of ＂seeking for true heart＂, which is conducive to popularizing the theory of intuitive knowledge and to some extent, to promoting the practical coloring of the theory of intuitive knowledge.
