This paper briefly describes formation of SA algorithm,advantages,application and other basic conditions,and specifically addresses theoretical foundation of SA algorithm application in geotechnical engineering. Integrating with concrete examples,it explores the application and research results of SA algorithm in geotechnical engineering related disciplines,draws useful conclusions,and puts forwards relative suggestions to guide practice.
