从周至民国这一漫长的历史阶段,我国出现了三次翻译高潮,即东汉到宋初的佛经翻译,明末清初和近代的西学翻译。具有独立性质的文学翻译就大量出现在第三次翻译高潮。在这股文学翻译高潮中,通俗文学作家积极译介有别于传统文学的新内容和新体裁,引进新的表达手法,将它们运用在自己的创作中,对中国文学现代化的进程产生了重要影响。

From the Zhou Dynasty to the Republic of China there are three translation climaxes.The appearance of literary translation with the independent characteristic is in the third climax which is the western learning translation in modern China.In this climax,the western literary translation of the authors of popular literature have great influence on the modernization process of Chinese literture.
