虞愚在逻辑研究上的成就主要在因明方面,但他对中国古代名辩学和西方逻辑学也有许多独到的认识。他充分认识到墨辩、因明和逻辑三者可通,可以互相解释,通过用因明和逻辑来比较分析墨辩,既看到三者之间的共性,又发现其各自不同的特点。其间,也存在一些今天依然值得我们注意的问题。

Yuyu has a huge achievement in Yin Ming logic,but he also has a lot of deep thoughts in China Min Bian logic and west logic.He has a correct understanding of that there is mutually communica-tion or explanation between Mo Bian and Yin Ming and west logic.By comparing Mo Bian with Yin Ming and west logic,he has seen their general and found each character of them.Certainly,there are some expe-riences which we must notice today in his study.
