Mechanized harvesting of maize is the weakest point in the process of Liaoning＇s completely mechanized maize production. This article deals with the current development in mechanized harvesting of maize in Liaoning province,examines such problems as poor machine performance,inefficiency,and difficulties in meeting the requirement of maize planting,and puts forward measures to stimulate the growth of mechanized maize harvesting in terms of government policies,farming techniques,and the extending of agricultural mechanization technology.
