A Talk on Antagonists(Ⅱ)

论文通过对文学经典中"主人公"与"对手"关系的分析,考察不同类型"对手"的独特作用,分析"对手"的文化内涵,揭示"对手"的文学和文化意义。文章认为,"对手"的时代意义与文化内涵的重要性远远超出"对手"功能层面上的作用,或者说,功能性的"对手"的价值,只有在时代意义与文化内涵层面上有所发挥与创新的前提下,才可能跃入一个具有艺术震撼力的审美天地。

By analyzing the relation between protagonists and antagonists in literary classics and studying the unique function of antagonists,this paper analyzes the cultural connotation and reveals the literal and cultural significance of antagonists. It is opined that their epochal significance and cultural connotation have far exceeded the function; in other words,their functional value can not be elevated to a lofty level without the development and creation of their epochal significance and cultural connotation.
