The Study of Tendency of Popularity in Historical Records and Xiang Yu's Giving up the Throne in the Guanzhong Area

秦汉之际,项羽不都关中是重要历史事件。项羽不在关中定都主要是由于项羽自身出身、性格和军事斗争过程中所采取的措施导致关中秦人的反抗以及项羽在东南地区得到支持所致。项羽没有选择定都关中是考虑当时民心向背及其它因素所做出的决定,符合当时形势的发展,并非其失败的原因。

During the change of Qin dynasty and Han dynasty, Xiang Yu giving up the throne in the Guanzhong area is an important historical incident. The incident results from Xiang Yu＇ s parentage, personality and military measures which caused the struggle from Guanzhong people, and his support from his hometown. He gave up the throne in the Guangzhong area owing to the tendency of popularity and other reasons, which geared to the current situation and was not the main cause of his failure.
