萧萧是一个被命运随意捉弄的小人物,对自己命运的无法掌握使她以退让、顺应、认命的方式与命运妥协。对自己实际生存状况的茫然无知使她在对自己命运的旁观中,也旁观着他人的命运,正是这种漠然的旁观使相同的命运以代代相传的方式轮回不已。

Xiao Xiao is the leading character in a short novel of Shen Congwen＇ s Xiao Xiao. She is a nobody who is ordered about at will by destiny, having no way to grasp her destiny, making a concession, adjustment and resigning to destiny compromise. She is hit by the dark messenger to self actual survival status that ntakes her looking on to self destiny, also others＇ , and this indifferent look reflects the way of transmigration, thereafter, the identical destiny to be handed down from age to age endlessly.
