20世纪中期以来,新的科学技术革命把人类带入了一个新的知识经济时代,经济全球化和知识经济快速发展。在世界经济和社会大发展的国际背景中,世界高等教育正在发生着深刻的变化,各发达国家的高等教育也呈现一些共同的发展趋势。这主要表现在高等教育职业化、高等教育多样化、高等教育国际化以及高等教育的质量保障体系逐步完善等四个方面。

New scientific and technological revolution has brought mankind into a new era of knowledge economy since the mid-20th century. Thus it causes the rapid development of economic globalization and knowledge economy. In the international context of world economy and general social development, World of Higher Education is undergoing profound changes, the Higher Education in the developed countries also have shown some common trends. They have been mainly reflected in professionalisation, diversification, internationalization of higher education and gradually improved the higher education quality assurance system.
