In order to quicken the step of deepwater hydrocarbon exploitation in our country,it is necessary to make thorough investigation andstudy the behavior and successful experience in deepwater drilling abroad,and to get information on structural features,development situation and technical level of deepwater petroleumdrilling equipment abroad.The structure features,development situation and application of semi-submersible platform,drillingvessel,rig,riser system and surface BOP for deepwater drilling are discussed,which can play an important rolein the deepwaterdrilling development of our country.
