Design of a test instrument for measuring ADSL cable based on TDR

介绍一种基于时域脉冲反射(TDR)算法以及Xilinx的Spartan3AN系列FPGA芯片的ADSL线缆测试系统。系统通过USB接口与上位机相连,进行系统控制和TDR算法实现。文章首先阐述设计理论,然后介绍系统总体设计框图、数据处理流程以及系统实际测试结果。实验表明该测试仪能够快速准确测试出断点位置,精度可在±1%以内。

The testing system for measuring ADSL cable based on TDR（time domain reflection）and Spartan3AN FPGA of Xilinx is introduced.This system connects test board and host computer by USB interface.Host computer makes system control and arithmetic realization.At first,the main design theory is illuminated,and then the system design diagram,data processing flow and the actual test results are introduced.The experiments show that the tester is able to test breakpoint quickly and accurately,the accuracy is within ±1%.
