The article analyzes the requirements of 10 000-ton combination train's online test. It also specifies the functions, technological advantages, design ideas and implementations (both hardware and software) of the distributed test system's main components. These components include the wireless network based on GPRS, time synchronization based on GPS, the subsystem for master control, the subsystem for locomotives and the subsystem for freight wagons.
