Beauty of Late Tang Balm of Wisdom——An Analysis of the Nontopic Poetry by Front Line Poets

20世纪30年代,在北平的现代派诗人群体中,被评论家李健吾称作"前线诗人"的废名、林庚、卞之琳、何其芳等曾掀起一股"晚唐诗热",对中国诗歌传统进行了一次独到的重新发掘与阐释。无独有偶,在这些少数的前线诗人中,废名、林庚、卞之琳都曾不约而同写下了若干无题诗,对应晚唐李商隐的无题诗,他们在自由表现其诗的感觉与理想中亦见出了他们的不同个性与智慧。

In the 1930s, of the modernist poets in Peking, those who were called front line poets by the critic Li Jian- wu, such as Fei Ming, Lin Geng, Bian Zhilin, and He Qi- fang, started a craze for Later- Tang poetry, and made an original rediscovery and explication of traditional Chinese poetry. It happened that among these front line poets, Fei Ming, Lin Geng, and Bian Zhi - lin had coincidentally written some nontopic poems. While freely presen- ting the feelings and ideals of the nontopic poems of Li Shang - yin, the Late Tang poet, they showed their different personalities and wisdom.
